Stevenage Community Trust funds new chairs for The Living Room

December 16, 2019 by

16th December 2019

We would like to say a massive thank you to the Stevenage Community Trust for making our group room at No.15 The Glebe more comfortable by enabling us to purchase 14 new chairs through their £1,000 community grant.

Thanks to their generosity our clients can focus on their treatment in far comfier, more welcoming surroundings and our groups can be larger and more accommodating than they were previously.

Their funding has also allowed us to offer the premises to other community groups out-of-hours, helping the community benefit from additional support, and accommodating around 60 extra people each week.

Breathe in calm, breathe out stress…

The Box Breathing Tool, created by Watford counsellor Yousef Kira Durrani, is a simple yet highly effective technique designed to help regulate the nervous system during times of anxiety, stress, overwhelm, or emotional discomfort.

By following a structured pattern of breathing in, holding, breathing out, and holding again for equal counts, we can slow our heart rate, calm racing thoughts, and bring our attention back to the present moment.
