Climbing Snowdon 2021

October 1, 2021 by

1st October 2021

On Sunday 26th September, The Living Room staff, clients, volunteers, friends and family, climbed Mount Snowdon. It was a wonderful opportunity to accomplish something together after such a difficult year.

We are so proud of everyone who took part and want to say a special thank you to all who donated to their GoFundMe page, raising an amazing £715 for The Living Room.

Our Counsellor Suzanne shared this about the day:

“‘Like sobriety …  there were a lot of ups and downs, lots of hurdles and challenges along the way but the journey up the mountain was definitely worth it’ ”

Our Crèche Deputy Manager Natalie also brought a little furry friend along for the trip, see if you can spot him on his big adventure:

Congratulations to everyone who made the climb, we’re all so proud of how you worked together to achieve something great!

Breathe in calm, breathe out stress…

The Box Breathing Tool, created by Watford counsellor Yousef Kira Durrani, is a simple yet highly effective technique designed to help regulate the nervous system during times of anxiety, stress, overwhelm, or emotional discomfort.

By following a structured pattern of breathing in, holding, breathing out, and holding again for equal counts, we can slow our heart rate, calm racing thoughts, and bring our attention back to the present moment.
