Hannah Gets Her Big Chop

October 19, 2020 by

19th October 2020

We want to say a massive thank you to Hannah, who just got her hair chopped off and managed to raise an incredible £661 for The Living Room at the same time.

At just 9 years old, Hannah decided to take the plunge and donate her hair to The Little Princess Trust, who provide wigs for children and young people who have lost their hair because of cancer or other illnesses.

She started her fundraiser for The Living Room because of the support we provide for children via our crèche and for their families, and she wanted to help us to do more.

Hannah said: “This will be the first time in my life I will have short hair and I am a little nervous!”

Check out her new look and thanks again, Hannah, you are amazing!

Breathe in calm, breathe out stress…

The Box Breathing Tool, created by Watford counsellor Yousef Kira Durrani, is a simple yet highly effective technique designed to help regulate the nervous system during times of anxiety, stress, overwhelm, or emotional discomfort.

By following a structured pattern of breathing in, holding, breathing out, and holding again for equal counts, we can slow our heart rate, calm racing thoughts, and bring our attention back to the present moment.
