The Living Room becomes a member of Hertfordshire Chamber of Commerce

September 18, 2019 by

18th September 2019

The Living Room is now a member of the Hertfordshire Chamber of Commerce.

The Chamber of Commerce works to support businesses of all shapes and sizes and aim to help organisations and individuals to connect with each other, foster collaboration across multiple industries and grow their profile.

Chief Executive Adrienne Arthurs was presented with The Living Room’s membership certificate by Mary Sykes, External Affairs Director at the Chamber (pictured), during this year’s Women in Leadership event at the Stevenage Cromwell Hotel.

Adrienne said: “I’m hugely excited about the opportunity this presents us to work with so many different people from a variety of organisations and companies. We’re a homegrown Hertfordshire charity and this gives us a chance to connect with more and more local people than we have done in previous years.”

Breathe in calm, breathe out stress…

The Box Breathing Tool, created by Watford counsellor Yousef Kira Durrani, is a simple yet highly effective technique designed to help regulate the nervous system during times of anxiety, stress, overwhelm, or emotional discomfort.

By following a structured pattern of breathing in, holding, breathing out, and holding again for equal counts, we can slow our heart rate, calm racing thoughts, and bring our attention back to the present moment.
