We Are Reopening

March 18, 2021 by

18th March 2021

We are pleased to announce that we will shortly be reopening our location based services.

From Monday 29th March 2021 we are planning a staged return, firstly with our Stevenage Hub, followed by our St Albans and Watford Hubs over the next few weeks and months.

Numbers of those attending will be strictly monitored to comply with social distancing regulations and additional safeguards have been put into place. Our Hertfordshire Hub will remain operational via Zoom to support the clients that are unable to attend a location based service.

Thanks to the dedication of our staff, the support of our partners, donors and commissioners we are well prepared for our return to our hubs.

We are here for you if you need abstinence support for yourself, or if you are affected by someone else with an addiction, by offering a mixture of free online and location based group counselling.

As well as our main groups, all of our specialist groups continue to be available including; Disordered Eating, Family and Carers, Relationship, Drugs Group, evening Gambling Group as well as our partnership work with Relate and Family Lives. We are maintaining a telephone triage and online assessment procedure for new clients.

Our crèche, based in Stevenage will be available to clients attending treatment from Monday 29th March.

We intend to open our Stevenage based Charity Shops on Monday 12th April, in line with government guidelines.

Thank you for your continued support.

Breathe in calm, breathe out stress…

The Box Breathing Tool, created by Watford counsellor Yousef Kira Durrani, is a simple yet highly effective technique designed to help regulate the nervous system during times of anxiety, stress, overwhelm, or emotional discomfort.

By following a structured pattern of breathing in, holding, breathing out, and holding again for equal counts, we can slow our heart rate, calm racing thoughts, and bring our attention back to the present moment.
