The Crown Golf Society Day- Thank You!

October 11, 2021 by

12th October 2021

On Friday 1st October The Crown Aston End Golf Society put on a Golf Day in aid of The Living Room and Garden House Hospice Care. Our Stevenage Counselling Manager Carl Duke and External Relations Director Mark Wiseman both attended on the day and had a great time playing and meeting the members.

The day raised a fantastic £1300, with £660 going towards our services here at The Living Room. Donations like these make a real impact on our services and we’d like to thank everyone who attended for their generosity.

“We can’t thank The Crown Golf society enough for the hospitality they showed us during the Golf Day. It was great to play golf with the group and get to know the members down at The Crown Pub at the end of the day. Thanks to Neil and Gavin for organising the event and to Mick Caton and his family, who established the golf day in memory of their son, Liam.”- Mark Wiseman, External Relations Director

Thank you again to everyone at The Crown Aston End Golf Society for putting the event together and for your continued support of The Living Room.

Breathe in calm, breathe out stress…

The Box Breathing Tool, created by Watford counsellor Yousef Kira Durrani, is a simple yet highly effective technique designed to help regulate the nervous system during times of anxiety, stress, overwhelm, or emotional discomfort.

By following a structured pattern of breathing in, holding, breathing out, and holding again for equal counts, we can slow our heart rate, calm racing thoughts, and bring our attention back to the present moment.
