Stevenage Summer Fete

Join us for a fantastic Summer Fete in Stevenage, organised by our Experts by Experience (EBE) Group.

Come along for a fun-filled community event while helping us raise vital funds to support people affected by addiction. There’ll be something for everyone to enjoy, including:

  • Live music
  • Face painting
  • Games and prizes
  • Homemade cakes
  • Handmade crafts
  • Pre-loved clothes
  • Refreshments
  • And much more!

Our Experts by Experience Group plays an important role at The Living Room. By drawing on their own lived experience, members help shape our services, raise awareness of addiction and recovery, and inspire others on their recovery journey.

Events like our Summer Fete are a wonderful opportunity to bring the local community together, raise awareness and help us continue supporting people whose lives are affected by addiction.

Whether you’re joining us for some family fun, a delicious slice of homemade cake, or to find out more about The Living Room and the work we do, we’d love to see you there.

Every contribution helps us continue our work and share an important message: recovery is possible.

Breathe in calm, breathe out stress…

The Box Breathing Tool, created by Watford counsellor Yousef Kira Durrani, is a simple yet highly effective technique designed to help regulate the nervous system during times of anxiety, stress, overwhelm, or emotional discomfort.

By following a structured pattern of breathing in, holding, breathing out, and holding again for equal counts, we can slow our heart rate, calm racing thoughts, and bring our attention back to the present moment.
