Yellow Tuesday – Our antidote to Blue Monday!

It’s almost that time of year again! As an alternative to the so-called Blue Monday on 19th January, we’ll once again be celebrating Yellow Tuesday at The Living Room.

On Tuesday 20th January, we invite everyone to take part by wearing something yellow. Yellow is the colour of sunshine and positivity, often associated with feelings of hope — a great reminder of the values we hold here.

Yes, it may be a little cheesy… but hey, cheese is yellow too 😉

We’ll be sharing yellow vibes across our social media throughout the day, using #yellowtuesday2026 and we’d love you to join in and help brighten things up..

Thank you, as always, for helping make our charity a positive and uplifting place to be 💛

Breathe in calm, breathe out stress…

The Box Breathing Tool, created by Watford counsellor Yousef Kira Durrani, is a simple yet highly effective technique designed to help regulate the nervous system during times of anxiety, stress, overwhelm, or emotional discomfort.

By following a structured pattern of breathing in, holding, breathing out, and holding again for equal counts, we can slow our heart rate, calm racing thoughts, and bring our attention back to the present moment.
