The Living Room Joins the St Albans Round Table Santa Float

It’s almost that time again…  sleigh bells, twinkling lights, and Santa on his way! We’re thrilled to share that The Living Room will be taking part in this year’s St Albans Round Table Santa Float on Saturday 6th December in Marshalswick, St Albans.

The fun kicks off at 4pm, starting from The Quadrant, and we’ll be spreading festive cheer all evening as the float makes its way through the local streets.

Our wonderful clients, staff, and counsellors (alongside a few very merry elves!) will be walking with Santa, collecting donations to help support The Living Room’s vital recovery work.

This magical community tradition is always full of smiles, music, and Christmas spirit, and we’d love to see as many friendly faces as possible along the route. So, wrap up warm, wave to Santa, and come join the fun. The more the merrier!

Find out more, view the route map, and follow Santa with the live tracker.

Let’s make this year’s Santa Float the jolliest yet.

Booking for this event has now closed.

Breathe in calm, breathe out stress…

The Box Breathing Tool, created by Watford counsellor Yousef Kira Durrani, is a simple yet highly effective technique designed to help regulate the nervous system during times of anxiety, stress, overwhelm, or emotional discomfort.

By following a structured pattern of breathing in, holding, breathing out, and holding again for equal counts, we can slow our heart rate, calm racing thoughts, and bring our attention back to the present moment.
